Hand Crafted Soap
mains de mariposa takes pride in personally hand crafting, from scratch all of our soap. Using the same high quality ingredients found in our skin creams we create naturally gentle, long lasting soaps. Our soaps create lots of lather and are not slimy or creamy like many hand made soaps.
It is our belief that soap is for cleaning. Period. We'd also like to clear up some misinformation. "Moisturizing Soap" simply doesn't exist. If it is, it's either not moisturizing, or it's not soap. Soap cleans because it is alkaline and that, by nature is drying. Through our choice of oils and superfatting (leaving some oils unsaponified) our soap is gentle and not as harsh. Hand crafted soap also retains its natural glycerin, making it more gentle. When hand blended with herbs and spices, every bar is unique!
