Hemp is amazing in so many ways. Not only is it one of the only plant based complete protein sources, it is extremely renewable and can be grown easily without pesticides. Not to mention all of the things you can make from it. From clothes and food to fuel and yes, even skin care products.
The omega fatty acid profile of hemp oil so closely matches that of our skin that it can help to repair the barrier function of the skin, replace lost moisture and rebuild our skin's defenses.

There are 3 strains of Cannabis Sativa. Cannabis Sativa var. sativa. Cannabis Sativa var. indica and Cannabis Sativa var. ruderalis. Honestly, experts are still deciding if they're different species or whatever but the main thing you need to know is that these plants can be bred and cross bred to influence the level of TCH, yes, the chemical that can make you "high". Any cannabis plant that is bred and grown for any purpose other than smoking is usually referred to as a hemp plant and is used for "industrial" purposes. These "hemp" plants contain only trace levels of THC and you would need to smoke an acre of plants to get high. Unfortunately, if you did attempt this, you would likely die of carbon monoxide poisoning first**. Get it? Good.
mains de mariposa's hemp cream is available in Patchouli scent or unscented. The unscented version does have a slightly "green" smell due to the unrefined hemp oil. Because of many hemp products, most people associate the smell of hemp with Patchouli. So if you believe you don't like the smell of "hemp", keep in mind it is likely Patchouli you are not keen on as hemp itself smells more like grass from your lawn. Patchouli is also a classic scent associated with the era of the hippies, love-ins and covering up the marijuana smell. You'll also note that the green colour from mdm's hemp cream is because of the unrefined hemp oil, whereas some companies use Chromium and Iron Oxides to impart colour to their cream. So if you think you don't like the smell of "hemp" and you don't like fake green-ness try mdm's unscented hemp cream.
